Agility, speed, and portability were the guiding forces behing the development of the 3-wheeled Aphaenogaster scooter. A 24 volt battery powers a 350 watt motor, which in turn drives the rear wheel at speeds of up to 15 mph and a range of up to 8 miles. The rider sits on a padded seat atop the rear assembly, and steers the front wheels with forward and back motion of the control stick.
